Exciting skid driving packages
Imagine taking the wheel of our computerised ‘skid car’. You’ll be driving along in what appears to be a normal road vehicle. Yet, at the touch of a button the car converts into an amazing skid car.
You’ll feel like you’re in the movies when the car suddenly careers into a front wheel or rear wheel spin. It will be up to you to apply the skills you’ve learned, along with split second thinking, to regain control.
Fleet training for health and safety
Although the experience is fun, there is a serious message behind the skid awareness and avoidance training we offer.
Companies, with employees who clock up significant mileage due to their role, can take advantage of our fleet training skid awareness and avoidance packages. Our fleet training packages are designed to give employees greater awareness of the risks of skidding along with training on how to act if their car skids.
As a company it will give you reassurance that you are working hard to keep your employees safer while on the road.
Bespoke skid avoidance training
One-to-one skid training is available, alternatively we can organise group sessions, fleet training days and corporate away days for you.
You are in control. Give us the brief and we’ll design the session around you -whether it is safety training for your drivers or a team building event - we are totally flexible.
More about our skid car
Our skid car is a specially converted Renault Megane, with an automatic gearbox. Don’t worry, at all times it is under the total control of the instructor. And as an added safety precaution, the vehicle is fitted with dual controls.
This means that you can experience out of control skidding, in a completely safe and totally controlled environment.
Skid training for all
Almost everyone can enjoy the experience of our skid car. Hand controls are available for use by disabled drivers and we run specific events for disability groups.
What to expect
On the day of your skid training, you’ll be greeted with light refreshments to relax any nerves you may have.
A short session in the classroom will follow, which includes:
- Recognising the causes of skidding
- Minimising the risk of skidding
- Appreciation and understanding of recent developments in vehicle design
- Importance of vehicle maintenance

Then it’s into the skid car where you’ll be put through your paces!
You’ll experience:
- Front wheel skid
- Rear wheel skid
- 4-wheel skid
- Aquaplaning
But don’t worry, you’ll receive practical instruction on how to correct these potentially dangerous situations.
Mobile skid training
Skid training is available at a number of venues, but our biggest strength is the fact that we’re mobile and can come to you.
Our car can be used on any tarmac or concrete surface, without causing damage or leaving signs of use. In fact we’ve even used our skid vehicle on a drill square.
There is no excess noise over and above the running engine (and sometimes the shouts of enjoyment from our delegates).
To undertake the training session at your site, we need an area of land approximately the size of a football pitch - car parks, airfields or transport yards are ideal.
You can hire our skid vehicle by the session (minimum hour and a half), half day or day.
